Real love begins only when one person comes to know another for who they are. But frequently, who the other person really is has become lost behind expectations, projections and frustrations. The search for the "real" other requires that each must have the courage and commitment to look first at themselves and take responsibility for their own happiness. When one is not expected to make the other happy nor blamed for disappointments and frustrations, then there is the possibility for a "real" relationship of the closeness and depth for which we all yearn.
I, as a third person, observing from the outside, can hold up a mirror for reflection, can translate for clarity, and can perhaps shine some light into the dark corners of fear and sadness.
